Factory Nights: Studio 54 Edition

For one night only, Studio 54 is back en vogue! We’ll be spinning everything from New Wave and Disco, to House and Rave- come revel in the unrestrained debauchery and deca-DANCE of another world!

HAPPENING ON: Friday, March 1st from 9pm-12am. 

HAPPENING IN: The Isla Vista Community Center (970 Embarcadero del Mar).

KCSB-FM Factory Nights is a collective open to all expressions of creativity- no matter the medium. Our focus is on channeling the avant-garde nature of scenes like New York and San Francisco in the 60s. We host multi-media art installations, experiences, and events. Our hope is to get as many student artists involved and to put on this event as frequently as possible. We strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment where individuals of all backgrounds can come celebrate the artistic innovations of both their peers and artists of the past!

 

At this event, you will find: 

    • 9pm-12am: 6 DJs, spinning half sets. Genres will range from Disco, new wave, funk, house, and rave!
    • 9-10pm: Custom screen printing and button making!. 
      • Bring your own fabric!
    • 10-11pm: Fashion Show- we invite you to sign up to show off your “Studio 54 realness” at our fashion show as our Master of Ceremonies announces your name!
    • Tabling from a wide variety of UCSB Student Organizations. 
    • Silent screening of experimental films celebrating underground cultures. 
  • Screen test station, where you can post for a Warhol-esque video portrait! 
  • DANCING ALL NIGHT!
