What follows is a transcription of a recent PSA airing on KCSB to spread the word about an upcoming discussion group, presented by the UCSB Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity.

UCSB Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity Presents a Discussion on Anti-Blackness in LGBTQIA+ Communities of Color

To be actively anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ non-Black people of color should recognize how we as individuals can uphold anti-Blackness and learn to uplift Black voices, especially Black LGBTQIA+ voices. The Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity will be hosting a weekly discussion space for non-Black LGBTQIA+ students of color to start addressing anti-Blackness in our communities. Conversations will range depending on what participants want to discuss and explore. Please join us for an information session to learn more.

The information session for this discussion group will be on October 6th from 4:00-5:00PM.

You will receive the zoom information once you submit >>this form<<.

This discussion space will be facilitated by Quinn Solis, they/them, Associate Director of LGBT Resources. If you have questions, please reach out quinnsolis@ucsb.edu.

*This space is open to undergraduate and graduate students*
