Coastal Fund’s Winter Grant Cycle PSA
What follows is a transcription of a recent PSA airing on KCSB-FM to spread the word about the Coastal Fund’s current activity.
The UCSB Associated Students Coastal Fund’s Winter Grant Cycle is accepting major and minor grant applications for projects that engage our communities and enhance our coastline.
The deadline for major grants of more than $1,000 is January 15th, and February 19th for minor grants of $1,000 or less. Local nonprofits, undergraduate and graduate students of all majors and disciplines are welcome, whether people are a first-time or returning applicants!
Information about how to apply can be found through the UCSB Coastal Fund grant workshop (link: https://coastalfund.as.ucsb.edu/funding-guidelines/), as well as all the forms and specifications on the website (link: https://coastalfund.as.ucsb.edu/).
The UCSB Coastal Fund strives to preserve, protect, and enhance the terrestrial and marine habitats associated with the shoreline of the University of California, Santa Barbara through preservation, education, open access, research, and restoration. Each year, UCSB Coastal Fund provides over $450,000 in funding through grants to projects benefiting UCSB students and coast. If a project aligns with their mission statement (link: https://coastalfund.as.ucsb.edu/mission/), they encourage people to apply. After submitting, major grant applicants also present their project to the board and answer questions about project purpose and goals.
Coastal Fund looks forward to reviewing your application!
